SIFF invites us on September 13, 2020, at 20:30, at the Cultural Association of Chroussa, Syros (“Politistikos Syllogos Chrousson Syrou”), to the screening of:
The Enigma of Keros
Kostas Maheras, Greece, 2020, 91’
This documentary explores the excavations at Dhaskalio (directed by Colin Renfrew and Michael Boyd of the McDonald Institute, University of Cambridge), which have completely transformed our understanding of what was previously seen as a Cycladic enigma. The island of Keros, in Cyclades, Greece, currently uninhabited, was the site of the world’s earliest maritime sanctuary in the Early Bronze Age, and a thriving center for metal production, providing much evidence for crucial developments in the history of architecture.
The film’s presenter, Adriana Paraskevopoulou, will be at the screening to introduce it.
Limited capacity. All entry is on a first come, first served basis.
Wearing a face mask is required throughout the screening.
